A quick and easy recipe for caramelized pineapple with brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg made in the air fryer, offering a healthy, flavorful dessert or side dish.

  • 1 large pineapple, cut into -inch wide by 1-inch thick cubes
  • 3 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1½ teaspoons cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Slice off the pineapple crown and bottom to create flat ends.
  2. Stand the pineapple upright and slice it in half lengthwise.
  3. Cut each half lengthwise again to make four long wedges.
  4. Slice down the sides of each wedge, following the curve to remove skin and eyes.
  5. Cut the peeled wedges crosswise into roughly 1½-inch wide by 1-inch thick chunks.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
  7. Melt the butter.
  8. In a large bowl, toss pineapple chunks with melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until evenly coated.
  9. Arrange the pineapple in a single layer in the air fryer basket without crowding; cook in batches if needed.
  10. Air fry at 400°F for about 10 minutes, flipping halfway, until edges are golden brown with a slight char.
  11. Serve warm and enjoy.
